Welcome to Battle for the Trees Revolution 2. As the description says, this group is about trees. They do so much for us. Among the most basic of their gifts is the gift of oxygen. All green plants take in carbon dioxide and give off oxygen, and trees, because of their size, take in great gobs of that bad carbon dioxide that is given off by our civilization and give off great gobs of wonderful, beautiful oxygen that we need to survive. Then there are all the wonderful other things that trees provide. There is fruit, and nuts. I realize that you, Stephen6580, are allergic to most nuts, but the rest of us love them. They also give shelter to billions of cute and not-so-cute woodland creatures.

There are other plants that could do some of the things trees are being destroyed for. Hemp, if legalized, could produce paper, oil, cloth, and lighten our carbon dioxide footprint on this planet that we love so much.

There are those of you who are devoted to the ocean and other bodies of water. Good. Specialize in that. There are other parts of the earth's biosphere that deserve our attention and care. Certainly. You can deal with those. Form a group to focus attention to it. This group is about trees. Did you know that the Amazon rain forest is being eradicated at the rate of 5000 acres a day? And they aren't using the trees for anything. They are just wasting them, burning them down. They need to be stopped.
